Current and past projects have incorporated curriculum-linked science sessions during PPA time packed with hands-on, practical activities making use of the natural environment of the school grounds in consultation with the school science lead.
These science sessions complement ‘get-gardening’ sessions for each class as well as lunchtime and after-school gardening clubs to green up the grounds, encourage nature connection and knowledge and grow an appreciation for healthy eating.
We’ve created links with the school kitchen and even grown produce to sell at the school summer fair to celebrate entrepreneurial skills and showcase the school garden.
